Tom Thibodeau, Scott Brooks would have considered Lakers job if open before accepting their new positions
Two coaches that likely would have considered taking over for the storied Hollywood, via a report from Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical, are no longer available:
Thibodeau, who recently took over as president and head coach of the Timberwolves, and Brooks, the new coach of the Wizards, would have been strong options for Los Angeles after their previous jobs in Chicago and Oklahoma City proved their pedigrees.
As it is, the Lakers missed out on those two coaches, and have moved on to other candidates. Mitch Kupchack and the Lakers have an interesting summer ahead as the team embarks on the the post-Kobe Bryant and Byron Scott era.
