Kobe Bryant played his final NBA game on April 13. Now into June, almost two months after that last contest for the Black Mamba, he still is in disbelief at the incredible 60-point performance he turned in for his finale.
Kobe on his last game: "I still can't believe it happened. I don't know where the hell it came from. There were no signs of that happening."

After multiple seasons hampered by injuries, it was nothing short of amazing that Kobe managed to play 42 minutes in the final game, let alone score 60 points. Kobe not only became the oldest player in NBA history to reach 60 points in one game, but he also set a personal career high in shot attempts with 50 – not a small task for any player, and an even more difficult one considering how beat up Kobe's ailing body was at the end of the season.
Although Kobe did spur the Lakers to victory in the game – one of just 17 total on the season – neither the win nor the scoring output was Kobe's favorite part. Rather, it was that his kids could see him in his prime, even if it was just one last look at the player Kobe used to be.
More Kobe on last game:"My kids got the change to experience the younger Kobe for once. I got a chance to be cool in front of them for once"

And in perfect Kobe fashion, he of course went right to work the next day in his new career. The Mamba wouldn't have it any other way.
