Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua were hoping to fight each other in Saudi Arabia in August, but that fight was never finalized because it was ruled that Fury had to honor a rematch clause and go up against Deontay Wilder again. That fight is coming in October after it was recently postponed due to COVID-19.

While Fury and Joshua don't have a fight scheduled yet, the 33-year-old British boxer does think it “will happen eventually,” per the BoxingScene. Fury also didn't hesitate to throw a good bit of trash talk in Joshua's direction after the latter tossed out some of his own:

Those are some fighting words from Tyson Fury. Joshua had previously said he would “smoke” Fury:

“Without the belts? I rate that. That's what I'm talking about. We'll fight, 100 percent, let's do it,” Joshua said to Sky Sports. I'll smoke that guy, I will, it's annoying.”

Anthony Joshua will surely be ready to respond to this latest round of verbal sparring. Joshua is currently preparing to fight Oleksandr Usyk later this month at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Given all the hype and trash talk around a potential Tyson Fury-Anthony Joshua fight, one has to imagine this is going to happen at some point. For now, we'll just have to watch them trade barbs.
