The scariest man in MMA is now a certified UFC Champion. Francis Ngannou has won the title of UFC World Heavyweight Champion and Baddest Man in the Planet after knocking out Stipe Miocic in the main event of UFC 260 at UFC Apex facility in Enterprise, Nevada on Saturday.

The finish came 52 seconds into the second round when Ngannou landed an absolute bomb of a left hand to separate Miocic from his consciousness.

After getting dominated by Miocic in their first bout back in 2018, a new and improved Ngannou came prepared against the HW king. The Predator was evidently a lot more patient than usual early in the first round, despite getting the better of Miocic in their exchanges.

Ngannou clipped Miocic early with an overhand right hand and even a surprising head kick in the first and displayed brilliant takedown defense to win that round.

He went for the kill in the second, out striking Miocic with his barrage of powerful strikes. He dropped the champion early on with a stiff jab followed by a series of ground and pound.

But Miocic got back on his feet and tried to exchange fire with the feared KO artist. That proved to be his biggest mistake of the night, as Ngannou clocked him with a pinpoint left hook that shut the lights out for good. Ngannou even threw in a scary hammer fist on the downed Miocic for good measure, before referee Herb Dean came in and mercifully stopped the fight.

With the win, Francis Ngannou (16-3) becomes the third African-born active UFC champion alongside Israel Adesanya and Kamaru Usman.
