Former friends turned enemies will battle it out on Saturday night at UFC 272 as Colby Covington faces Jorge Masvidal in what should be an absolute movie of a fight. Ahead of the big event, fellow UFC star Kamaru Usman, who is considered one of the greatest fighters in the sport right now, gave his take on who could come out on top.

According to Usman, he believes Covington has a slight edge because of “more tools” in his skillset. Via TMZ Sports:

“Man, I think it's an incredible fight,” Usman said. “I think both guys are skilled and both guys know each other. I just think Colby has a little bit more tools to be able to win UFC 272.”

Usman essentially said Masvidal has a bit more speed than his opponent, but Covington possesses better cardio, striking, and wrestling ability. After all, he has fought both guys twice, so Usman knows exactly what they bring to the table.

There has been so much anticipation for this UFC 272 encounter because of how the relationship between Covington and Masvidal deteriorated. They absolutely hate each other now and things have become very heated ahead of Saturday night. Allegedly, Covington failed to pay Masvidal's coach for his services and that was the start of their downfall as friends.

Needless to say, this should be good.
