MMA is a sport that loves to talk about the ‘GOAT' and UFC president Dana White is often asked about the topic. Welterweight has recently gotten a lot of talks recently as Kamaru Usman has emerged as a dominant champion despite Georges St-Pierre's shadow looming.

Dana White recently made his pick whilst talking about Kamaru Usman's upcoming fight against Leon Edwards at UFC 278. He notes that welterweight has always been a stacked division which makes it easy to pick the GOAT.

“Leon Edwards is the number one guy in the world to take on Usman. He’s a super talented guy, that whole division is stacked with incredible talent. That’s why it’s undeniable that Usman is the greatest welterweight ever,” UFC president Dana White told TheMacLife in a recent interview (h/t BJPenn.com). “He’s lapping guys that are incredible fighters, this isn’t some lackluster division where you have Usman and everybody else, there are straight killers in this division. We’ll find out that night what Edwards brings in there.”

The argument against Georges St-Pierre is that he has two losses in his career and both are stoppages in UFC title fights. Kamaru Usman is undefeated in the UFC and his only loss came when he was just starting out in MMA.

Kamaru Usman will have the opportunity to improve his resume when he takes on Leon Edwards in a highly anticipated rematch at UFC 268. Dana White will certainly be watching the event and feeling confident in his pick for the greatest welterweight of all time.
