Addison Rae is taking a few jabs to the chin of the Twitter variety, amid her latest partnership with the Ultimate Fighting Championship. The TikTok star in under fire after taking a reporting gig with the UFC, a role many believe should have gone to someone more qualified.
It didn't help that Addison Rae's tweet on the matter divulged how she had spent three months studying broadcast journalism prior to her appearance.
I studied broadcast journalism in college for 3 whole months to prepare for this moment pic.twitter.com/5Z95OTSVTA

@noahglenncarterShe can’t do anything without Twitter saying the most #addisonrae #ufc #foryou
Addison Rae was attending LSU with a major in sports broadcasting before deciding to pursue her career as a social media influencer full time. Safe to say her decision paid off. But the fact that she may be taking opportunities from those who need it more has the internet irked at the TikTok star.
Article Continues Belowso your taking a job from someone who delicates their time and money to get such a job, whereas you get it because of fame. we all know that if she wasn’t famous, 3 months wouldn’t cut it.

While it's true that the gig could have benefitted a budding reporter more deserving of the role, you can't deny that the UFC knew what they were doing with the hiring. Addison Rae has tens of millions of followers and having her on there gets much more eyeballs into the sport, especially from the younger demographic for which she resonates best with.
