Andre Petroski has an interesting solution to his very common problem. He revealed after his successful bout at UFC 267 that he is not good at saving his money. The solution? Take more fights.

“I’m ready. I love fighting. This is how I pay my bills,” Andre Petroski told MMAJunkie. “I think this is the greatest job in the world. I don’t know any other job where I can fly to Abu Dhabi on five days’ notice. It’s simple math: You fight three times a year, you make three times ‘X.’ You fight five times, you make five times ‘X.’ I don’t really save my money well. I want to fight as often as possible. If someone falls off, they know who to call.”

It worked out for him in this instance as he took on Yaozong Hu on short notice at UFC 267. He would win by arm-triangle choke in the third round.

Andre Petroski had many good moments in the grappling department. He threatened a few submissions but ultimately found the finish in the third round.

“I had a mounted guillotine in the first minute, I think it was. I had that anaconda (choke) at one point. I had the back – I couldn’t finish the rear-naked (choke). It’s just such a different look out there, rolling wise than it is in practice.”

The win now puts Andre Petroski at 2-0 in the UFC with both wins coming by finish in the third round. He previously competed on the latest season of ‘The Ultimate Fighter.”
