It was announced on Saturday, that Drake would be betting on Jorge Masvidal to beat Colby Covington at UFC 272. The rapper ended up losing $250,000 in bitcoin after Covington won by decision.

Colby Covington wasted no time at all in addressing Drake at the UFC 272 post-fight press conference. In classic fashion for his character, he made sure to bash the rapper in every way he could, from his betting skills to his music.

“Let’s talk about all the money Drake lost tonight,” Covington said with a smile at UFC 272. “He needs to go back to selling those shitty albums to get back the money. He should have went to America’s Pick of the Week by my bookie. I tried to give the people the pick of the week. I am America’s champ and I was America’s pick of the week. Drake, you suck at sports betting. Go back to your shitty little albums and rapping.”

Betting on Jorge Masvidal to beat Colby Covington at UFC 272 was obviously very risky but Drake was hoping to make good money on the underdog. The fight was not close at all except for an instance where Masvidal landed a big punch later in the fight.

Drake will most likely not respond to Colby Covington as there is no benefit to the rapper having a back and forth with a professional UFC fighter. Jorge Masvidal has since offered to take him out to dinner after he lost a quarter of a million dollars betting on him.
