It was reported early today that the UFC 303 press conference that was supposed to be held in Dublin, Ireland today was canceled by the man of the hour Conor McGregor. This press conference had UFC fans reserve tickets for free and those were sold out in minutes. That's over 10,000 fans who were looking forward to the press conference, as it was the UFC's return to Dublin, Ireland in quite some time, now are out of their chance of finally seeing the UFC back in their home country.

There have been speculations as to why the press conference was canceled in the first place. Once it was announced that Conor McGregor was the one to there were a ton of different theories that were thrown around about why he had to cancel it. Some were saying it was due to his excess partying, others were saying it because it had to do with some type of legal issues, well MMA reporter Ariel Helwani nipped that in the bud when discussing it on the MMA Hour today.

After all the speculation as to why McGregor had to cancel the press conference hours after the event was supposed to take place, McGregor finally came out with a statement on X formerly known as Twitter regarding the issue.
In consultation with the UFC, todays press conference was cancelled due to a series of obstacles outside of our control. I apologize to my Irish fans, and fans around the world, for the inconvenience and appreciate all your passion and support. I can’t wait to put on the greatest…

UFC fans can now sigh with relief as McGregor reveals that everything is fine and that we can expect UFC 303 to go on as planned. This was the biggest worry from the UFC fanbase that the UFC 303 main event between Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler was in jeopardy. McGregor has never been one to miss a scheduled fight bout and that stays true here as well.
