Joanna Jedrzejczyk has been under a lot of criticism from her fellow strawweights as many feel she is too high in the rankings. Marina Rodriguez was someone that came after her following her win over Mackenzie Dern.
Joanna Jedrzejczyk fired back in an Instagram post and made her feelings clear. She hadn't said anything in response to the other fighters until now.
“There’s lots of rumors about my fighting career, retirement and that I shouldn’t be in the rankings because I haven’t fought for more than 19 months,” Joanna Jedrzejczyk wrote on Instagram. “I’m super happy and proud of myself being very high in the rankings but rankings don’t fight. I don’t care who I’ll be fighting. No 10, 5, 1, white, blue, black or pink belt. The most important thing is how dedicated, motivated, passionate and disciplined [I am]. My legacy speaks for me. So don’t be surprised. Can’t wait to put on hell of a fight for my real ones, for all of ya. For so many.”

There has been a lot of speculation about Joanna Jedrzejczyk's career as there were rumours she was retired while some thought she would be next in line for the title. It appears she isn't retired and she absolutely plans on returning.
She has many options but could find herself stuck when it comes to the strawweight title. She has two losses to the current champion Rose Namajunas and a loss to the current challenger Weili Zhang.
There have been calls for her to fight Marina Rodriguez in a title eliminator bout. It is yet to be seen what exactly is next for Joanna Jedrzejczyk.
