Nick Maximov has broken out in the UFC after scoring a huge win over Puna Soriano at UFC Vegas 47. His grappling was the difference in the fight and many were impressed by his ground game.
The UFC middleweight recently threw some shade at Sean O'Malley and Paddy Pimblett. He believes they have been ducking the tough competition in the organization.

I’m like, why am I fighting all these hard-ass guys? Maximov told TMZ Sports on Sunday. “No one else is doing that. Not Paddy Pimblett, not Sean O’Malley, I’m the only one that’s doing that.”
Nick Maximov was recently asked about Khamzat Chimaev by TMZ. The Nick Diaz Academy product did not hold back while talking about a potential fight with the Swedish UFC welterweight.
“Khamzat’s fights all these little ass guys, but I’d like to fight him next,” said Maximov. “He tries calling out Nate, Nate’s like fight me then. … Why are people scared [of him]? He hasn’t shown anything to be scared about because he hasn’t fought any wrestlers. He’s a wrestler who hasn’t fought any wrestlers. So, I’m like what the f*ck, fight me then.
“He’s fought MMA fighters. I’m a martial artist who can wrestle.”
A fight between the two in the UFC seems unlikely as they are in different weight classes and in different places career-wise. The two could potentially meet down the line depending on if the Swedish fight makes another move to middleweight.
