MMA fans gave the business to Dana White after the UFC president sent out a shameless tweet in the aftermath of Chris Weidman's horrific leg injury in his bout against Uriah Hall at UFC 261. For context, this is what drew the ire of UFC fans on Twitter.

Yep, that's not it, Dana. For those who missed it, the Weidman-Hall fight came to an abrupt halt 17 seconds into the first round with Weidman breaking his leg after delivering a low kick.

As mentioned, White's tweet drew a lot of negative reactions among UFC fans. Here are some of them:

Yeah, that's a fact and come to think of it, it is mind-boggling how one can win a match in any combat sport without delivering a strike. We learned that it is indeed possible in the most unfortunate way.

Nevertheless, Dana White didn't really need to give us this info like it's a fun fact or something. There's nothing fun about what just transpired to Chris Weidman. The timing certainly wasn't right, especially since it just happened moments ago.

The rest of MMA Twitter blew up after seeing The All-American snap his leg. Several fighters around the UFC also couldn't believe what they saw. However, no one was more speechless than his opponent on Saturday night. Uriah Hall was at a loss for words as the injury happened and could only send his well wishes to Weidman and his family.

UFC legend Anderson Silva also suffered the same gruesome injury eight years ago, ironically, against Weidman himself. Hopefully this isn't the last we're seeing of the 36-year old. Here's to Chris Weidman making a full recovery and coming back strong.
