While Kevin Durant and Stephen Curry have joined forces in Golden State, the throne of the sneaker kingdom is still up for the taking.

Curry is the face of Under Armour and Durant has a signature line with Nike, so it's yet to be seen whose shoes and gear sell the most in a very competitive sportswear market.

“KD made a decisive choice to go to Golden State. So going to Golden State and saying, ‘Great, now give me the keys,' that's Stephen Curry's team,” Under Armour CEO Kevin Plank told Donald Dell of CSN Mid-Atlantic.

“KD knew that when he went there, and I think that's something that will continue to work itself out.”

Under Armour, a Maryland-based company, has had history with Durant — as they pushed to sign the D.C. native back in 2014, though he ultimately re-signed with Nike for a lucrative $280 million deal.

The company later signed Stephen Curry, who had just come from disappointing talks with his then-affiliate Nike.

The move worked out for both parties as Under Armour has seen a notorious sales boost since the release of the “Curry One” shoe line and it has kept getting better from there.

Ever since Curry's rise to stardom in the NBA, everything he touches has turned to gold and Under Armour has capitalized in the form of shoes, shirts, hats, and many other accessories that bear his name.

Plank isn't worried of the possibility of conflict about who the team leader is:

“Without question, that's Stephen Curry's basketball team,” he said.
