If you have no idea that a USFL season is going on, well, now you do — thanks to a player who just got cut from his team because of the trivial and honestly hilarious reason that he expressed his preference for pizza over chicken salad.

What?!

You might think you've seen it all after everything that happened in the past two years, but that is simply not the case.

Here is video evidence of Pittsburgh Maulers running back De’Veon Smith hearing the bad news that we have no idea how he's going to tell his grandkids one day.

Apparently, that qualifies as an offense worthy of dismissal from a USFL team. Just imagine NFL teams having that short of a leash with all the prima donnas in the pros. This just doesn't look right no matter how it's sliced. (See what I did there, huh? Alright, I'll show my way out.)

Smith is a product of the Michigan Wolverines. He's just 27, so he can still find a future in football, though the window for running backs isn't that big. It's also probably not going to sit right with Smith that he got replaced by a Michigan State Spartan in the form of Madre London.
