Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Amari Cooper and Los Angeles Rams cornerback Marcus Peters got into a scuffle during their divisional-round playoff game on Saturday night, as the two competitors got tied up after Cooper got off the line of scrimmage.

Have to love Peters throwing his arms up in the air trying to sell it to the official as if he didn't do anything.

This type of thing pretty much happens in every NFL game, but sometimes, it goes a bit overboard and results in ejections, as it almost did right there. Cooper came very close to throwing a punch, which would have surely resulted in him getting tossed from a crucial game.

Both players are in their first years with their respective teams with both players coming over in trades.

The Rams acquired Peters in a trade with the Kansas City Chiefs during the offseason, with Los Angeles sending a 2020 second-round draft pick and this year's fourth-round pick to Kansas City in exchange for the defensive back.

Meanwhile, the Cowboys picked up Cooper midway through this season, sending a first-round pick to the Oakland Raiders for his services.

Both players have played critical roles for their teams this year, with Peters finishing with 43 tackles and three interceptions and Cooper hauling in 53 receptions for 725 yards and six touchdowns in just nine games with Dallas.

Cooper also caught seven passes for 106 yards during the Cowboys' Wild Card Round playoff win over the Seattle Seahawks last weekend.

The winner of the Cowboys-Rams matchup will advance to the NFC Championship Game to battle the winner of the Philadelphia Eagles-New Orleans Saints matchup on Sunday.
