Minnesota Vikings Adam Thielen hasn't been a player known to lose his temper a lot but his emotions shined through in the direction of New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick.

In the 4th quarter, Latavius Murray gained a yard on a 4th and inches play and it looked like the spot could have been a bit questionable. After the play, Patrick Chung fell down, apparently injured, which gave the Patriots extra time to decide if they wanted to challenge the play.

Thielen could be seen yelling in the direction of the Patriots bench “that's bullcrap” after he decided to challenge the play. Belichick wasn't having any of Thielen's yelling and told him to “shut the f— up.”

After the game, Thielen tried to downplay the exchange, although he did say he thought it was a cheap play, and it seemed like an interesting time for an injury.

“I just thought the play was cheap,” Thielen said per Courtney Cronin of ESPN. “I wasn't directing it toward him. I just thought the play was cheap, but like I said, I let the emotions get the best of me because it's a smart football play if you are in that situation. Why not? It's not cheating because there's no rule against it from a guy going down. I don't know if he was hurt or not. He might have been hurt. That's fine. It is what it is. But like I said, just interesting timing for a guy to go down when it's a close play.”

Thielen also said he has no hard feelings towards Belichick and he knows it's football and sometimes the emotions can take over.
