Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Jordan Addison has flashed serious potential this season, but he admitted he has not lived up to his own expectations over the last couple of weeks after a 12-10 loss to the Chicago Bears on Monday Night Football.

“Couple weeks ago, I'd probably tell you it's going good,” Jordan Addison said, via Andrew Krammer of the Star Tribune. “But now I feel like I ain't doing what I'm supposed to be doing. I'm not really proud of how I've been playing. I have to pick it up.”

Addison flashed in front of a national audience back on Oct. 23 against the San Francisco 49ers on Monday Night Football, when he went for 123 receiving yards, including two touchdowns. One of them in which he snatched the ball away from a 49ers defender and ran for a touchdown right before halftime.

In the absence of Justin Jefferson, Addison has been a key weapon for the Vikings. He has not produced as much since quarterback Kirk Cousins went down with a season-ending Achilles injury. Although Josh Dobbs has helped the Vikings get a couple of nice wins, the offense struggled mightily against the Bears on Monday.

At one point, Addison was wide open for what would have been a long touchdown, but the threw from Josh Dobbs led him out of bounds.

The Vikings are now 6-6 on the season, and are in the thick of the NFC wild card race. They head into the bye week now, and while Kirk Cousins will not return, Justin Jefferson has a great chance to come back when the Vikings play the Raiders on Dec. 10.

It will be interesting to see if Addison can get back on track after the bye.
