Two of the sports world's biggest stars, Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry and Los Angeles Rams defensive tackle Aaron Doanld, each secured championships in their respective sports. Curry's Warriors defeated the Boston Celtics in six games while Donald's Rams emerged victorious over the Cincinnati Bengals in the Super Bowl. What do the two victories have to do with each other, aside from both tams hailing from California? More than one would think, it turns out. After the NBA Finals win, Curry, who began to celebrate the championship he knew was coming, revealed the ‘inspiration' he received from Donald, per Cameron DaSilva of Rams Wire.

“Shoutout to Aaron Donald for giving me some inspiration for that celebration because I felt it in the moment. It might’ve been a little early, but I felt it.”

Curry said that Donald provided the “inspiration” for his ‘ring me' celebration, where the Warriors star pointed at his finger after hitting a deep three late with a comfortable lead late in the third quarter.

If it seemed similar to Donald pointing at his finger after bulldozing through the Bengals' offensive line to force an incompletion on fourth down, it's because it was.

It was a pretty epic way to celebrate a championship, which is why Curry adopted it for his NBA Finals moment. While the Warriors star admitted that it “might have been a little early” to be celebrating, he said that he still “felt it.”

Aaron Donald felt it too.
