With opening night fast approaching, Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr is adding the finishing touches to his team's final roster. The latest addition to the squad comes in the form of unrestricted free agent Tyler Ulis.
Multiple reports have confirmed that the Warriors have put pen to paper on an Exhibit 10 deal with the 22-year-old guard.
Free agent guard Tyler Ulis picked the Warriors over Houston and Sacramento for an Exhibit 10 contract, a source said.

To be clear, this does not guarantee that Ulis will make the final cut of the Warriors roster for the coming season. Here's an excerpt courtesy of hoopsrumor.com briefly explaining the concept of the Exhibit 10 contract:
Introduced in the NBA’s most recent Collective Bargaining Agreement, Exhibit 10 contracts are one-year deals worth the minimum salary. They don’t come with any compensation protection, but can include an optional bonus ranging from $5K to $50K.
With such a stacked roster — especially in the backcourt area — Ulis will find it difficult to break through to the team's rotation. His deal with the Warriors makes him more of a backup player that will likely spend his season in the G League. Ulis may expect a call-up if any of the Dubs' guards suffer a significant injury.
Ulis, a former Kentucky standout, was drafted 34th overall by the Phoenix Suns in 2016. In two years with the Suns, the 5-foot-9 guard posted averages of 7.6 points on 40.3 percent shooting, 0.5 three-pointers, 1.7 rebounds, 4.1 assists, 0.9 steals, and 1.5 turnovers in 21.1 minutes per contest. He was waived by the Suns last June.
