Andre Iguodala played just 31 games for the Golden State Warriors throughout the regular season. He saw his role diminish even more in the playoffs, and he was able to take the court just seven times throughout the team's title run, averaging 8.7 minutes per contest.

At this point, it is clear that time is running out for the Warriors veteran and that he is a far cry from the dominant force he once was. Despite his lack of playing time, however, there's still no denying that Iguodala played a key role for the Warriors in their recent championship conquest.

Iguodala recently spoke out about his role for the Warriors this past season — something that he believes was greatly impacted by his stint with the Miami Heat last year. The former Finals MVP also revealed how at this point in his career, the brutal reality is that his body is already telling him that it might be time to consider calling it quits:

“Things happen for a reason,” Iguodala said, via Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun-Sentinel. “And me going to Miami and experiencing the Miami Heat culture, that really helped me come back and then accept the role I had.

“Like I had really good days this year, but the body just wouldn’t hold up. But I knew that I could still be impactful and I still knew that we couldn’t let this year get by.”

Andre Iguodala made no mention of retirement, but odds are, this is something that the Warriors veteran will seriously consider this summer. The mind might still be willing to play, but his body could be telling him otherwise.
