San Francisco, CA – This summer the Golden State Warriors received two lottery picks. They had possession of the 7th and 14th picks. With those two spots, they chose Jonathan Kuminga with their first selection and Moses Moody right after. Both rookies have had solid seasons and earned the respect of Steve Kerr and veterans in the locker room.

Andre Iguodala has spent a lot of time with the two, and he's impressed with both rookies.

“I think he's (Kuminga) had a really good year,” Iguodala told ClutchPoints. “He's had his ups, he's had his downs and he's responded from it. He just has to understand the physical gifts he has, no one else has. He just has to fine-tune the little things around that, and he has an opportunity to be amazing.”

The 38-year-old veteran's compliments didn't end with the Warriors' first pick. He had good things to say about their 14th selection Moody as well.

“Moses is going to be around for a long time,” Iguodala told the media. “He has an older soul. He's always early, and he's always leaving late. He doesn't have the physical gifts of JK. But the way he shoots the ball, and he surprises you with his length. I think his reach might be longer than JK’s. He'll be able to be around for a really long time, with the way the game is played now.”

Kuminga's seat is next to Iguodala in the locker room. Moody's spot is a few chairs down. They can ask all the questions they want, and the one-time NBA Finals MVP is always open to pass down knowledge. The Warriors veteran never claims to be a huge part of their development, but his impact on them and the rest of the team is apparent.

The playoffs begin with the Warriors facing the Denver Nuggets. The game will be played on Saturday, inside the Chase Center. It's not only the first playoff appearance for the rookies, but it's the Warriors' first appearance since 2019. That may not seem like long ago to most, but to this group, it is.
