In just his fifth game back, DeMarcus Cousins of the Golden State Warriors suffered a hard fall in their game against the Indiana Pacers. Everyone, especially Warriors fans, collectively held their breath, wishing that it was just a minor fall. Cousins himself was asked about the incident and admitted that he, too, was scared.

“That was spooky…Good to know I can still take a lick and bounce back,” Cousins said, per Anthony Slater of The Athletic.

Below is a clip of Cousins' fall. As observed, the 28-year-old landed on his left foot — the foot where he tore his Achilles heel. The Pacers players meant no harm as they attended to Cousins right away. As a great defensive team, they're known for not giving up on plays. Cousins was just on the receiving end of a hard-nosed defensive play.

Despite the scary fall, Cousins didn't seem fazed at all. He finished the game with 22 points, six rebounds, and four assists in 25 minutes. It's his first 20-point game since returning back to action and most minutes he's played.

More importantly, his team won, 132-100. In all the games that Cousins has played, the Warriors have locked in a victory. Overall, they have won 11 straight games. This is their longest streak since the eight games they strung together very early in the season.

Though several analysts pointed out that Cousins will negatively affect the Warriors' chemistry, his first five games with the team reveal otherwise. He's doing more good than bad and this simply means trouble for the rest of the NBA.
