DeMarcus Cousins was introduced as the newest member of the Golden State Warriors on Thursday after the addition of forward Jonas Jerebko was announced last week.

Asked what excited him the most about becoming a Warrior, the big man answered matter-of-factly.

“Just the chance to play with a winning culture, and I also have a chance to play with some of the most talented players of this era,” said Cousins, according to Connor LeTourneau of The San Francisco Chronicle.

Cousins is likely joining one of the most start-studded lineups in NBA history, teaming up with four other All-Stars in Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green.

Besides the Kentucky Wildcats, this will be the only team he's been on with imminent chances to reach the title.

The big man will first have to recover from an Achilles injury, a process which can be grueling in nature.

“It's the worst, honestly,” said Cousins of his recovery. “Just waking up every day doing the same exact thing. It can drive you crazy, but I take it as a test.”

Cousins is expected to return from injury in December or January, but he remains noncommittal, playing it rather by ear and willing to return once the team allows him to.

The 6-foot-11 center will see some similarities from Alvin Gentry's system (a former Warriors assistant), but ultimately the change of culture under coach Steve Kerr and the cluster of star talent around him will play a major difference in his 2018-19 season.
