Golden State Warriors center DeMarcus Cousins is expected to play on Thursday against the Indiana Pacers, according to Anthony Slater of The Athletic.

Cousins missed the team's last two games with an injury, replaced by new signing Andrew Bogut, who started in his place against the San Antonio Spurs and the Minnesota Timberwolves.

The Warriors starting center had been on a tear before hitting the sidelines, posting a bevy of 20-point games with his new team and fitting seamlessly as a low-post facilitator and an improved defender after getting a bit of his legs back.

However the team will need to iron out the final kinks of incorporating him to this All-Star-laden team before heading to the postseason, where every game will count.

Head coach Steve Kerr will have to monitor his minutes, pace, and his involvement with each unit throughout the last few games of the season, hoping to smooth out any potential wrinkles in chemistry while providing Cousins with the right opportunities to make the most of his skill set.

The big man is coming off a season-ending Achilles injury and was just incorporated two months ago, forced to adjust to playing without the ball more often while playing the role of high-post distributor more often than ever with a sharpshooting core around him.
