DeMarcus Cousins of the Golden State Warriors has progressed to some on-court work but will be re-evaluated in one week.

Per the Warriors PR, Cousins is still not ready for live action after suffering a torn left quadriceps muscle on April 15. Along with teammate Kevin Durant (calf strain), the big man will be re-evaluated in one week.

In the regular season, Cousins played just a total of 30 games donning the Warriors jersey. He averaged 16.3 points per game 8.2 rebounds and 3.6 assists across 25.7 minutes. In the postseason — the first of his career — Cousins played just two games and averaged 5.5 points and 5.5 rebounds.

When Cousins inked a one-year deal with the Warriors in the summer, almost everyone thought that they would complete the three-peat. After all, they already had Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Kevin Durant, and Draymond Green in the lineup. Another elite player will only make them better.

But due to the spate of injuries, Cousins never really got in sync with the Dubs offense. But from the looks of it, Cousins will soon don the Warriors jersey again. If the Warriors reach the finals, we may see the big man fully in sync with the rest of the crew.
