The already-struggling Golden State Warriors will be without All-Star power forward Draymond Green as they face the Atlanta Hawks on Monday.

The second game of a back-to-back, the Atlanta-Golden State matchup will pit the two worst records (4-16 and 4-17) against each other.

However, according to Warriors head coach Steve Kerr, Green will be unavailable for the game due to rest purposes. Load-management in the NBA has been a hotly-debated topic for the last few years, with proposals for a shorter season having been brought up.

Without fellow All-Stars Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson, Green has struggled out the gate in his eighth NBA season.

The 29-year-old former Defensive Player of the Year is averaging just 8.3 points, 6.8 rebounds (his lowest mark since 2014) and 5.5 assists while shooting an unimpressive 38.9 percent from the field and 27.3 percent from 3-point range.

Luckily for Golden State, they will be regaining the services of backup big man Kevon Looney who is expected to suit up on Monday for the first time since the Warriors' season-opener.

Green's impact in the league has been questioned throughout his career, as he is not an elite scorer and always had the benefit of playing alongside multiple All-Stars.

With star guard D'Angelo Russell also missing time this season, the struggling Warriors have turned to rookie and second-round pick Eric Paschall who has become one of the most surprising breakout players in the NBA this year. The former Villanova center is averaging 17 points (second best among rookies) and 5.2 rebounds per game.
