Former Golden State Warriors teammates Draymond Green and Kevin Durant shed some light on the infamous argument that first prompted speculation regarding KD's future in Golden State.

The Warriors were rolling along to start the 2018-19 season, going 11-2 through their first 13 games when they headed to Los Angeles to take on the Clippers.

A back-and-forth affair saw the game come down to the final possession, with the score tied at 106. Green rebounded a Lou Williams miss and began streaking down the other end of the floor, ignoring Durant's demands for the ball. He dribbled the ball off his foot, resulting in the game going to overtime.

What ensued was a fiery argument, with both players screaming at each other in the huddle and DeMarcus Cousins having to pull Green away.

Draymond said he meant to pitch the ball back to Durant when he crossed the timeline. But the turnover took the game-winning opportunity out of play.

The spat led to a lot of questions about the chemistry in Golden State's locker room, especially when the Warriors went on to lose four of their next five games.

Durant stopped speaking to the media shortly after the incident, and reports suggested he also stopped speaking with teammates. It only added to the buzz KD was likely to leave the team in free agency that summer.

Green and Durant cleared the air later down the line, citing the idea they both are two highly competitive individuals. But that argument became one of the seminal moments of the season after the Warriors lost in the NBA Finals and Durant signed with the Brooklyn Nets later that summer.
