Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green knows that if the NBA could go back in time, he'd be one of the top picks in his draft class. Green was drafted 35th in the second round of the 2012 NBA Draft to the Warriors. He has obviously proven since that most of those picks ahead of him were mistakes.

Green gave his thoughts on his original selection in the draft to Portland Trail Blazers star Damian Lillard on Bleacher Report's first episode of a digital show titled “Chips.” Green even claims he knew at the time teams were making a mistake passing on him:

“Me being drafted with the 35th pick — I can name 15 small forwards/power forwards that went before me that I knew right then, ‘Yo, this dude is not better than me,'” said Draymond Green.

That's an understatement. If you go back and look at that draft, the only players picked in front of Draymond Green to make an All-Star Game are Anthony Davis, Bradley Beal, Damian Lillard, and Andre Drummond. Khris Middleton is the only other All-Star in that class, and he went after Green at No. 39. The lottery is filled with misses, including Michael Kidd-Gilchrist at No. 2 and Thomas Robinson at No. 5.

So, where exactly does Green think he'd go in a redraft? It looks like No. 4:

“I go back and look at our draft, and I say there are three people that would get drafted before me if our draft was re-done,” Draymond Green  said.

Those three players Green is referring to are Lillard, Beal, and, of course, Davis. Middleton and Drummond are right there as well, but Draymond Green's impact on the Warriors' dynasty run can't be denied when it comes to this exercise.
