Due to the implications of the COVID-19 pandemic, teams around the NBA are growing accustomed to playing games with zero fans in the crowd. In response to not having fans in the Chase Center—where the Golden State Warriors call home—Draymond Green had a three-word NSFW comment on having no fans, per ESPN's Nick Friedell.

Since earlier in 2020, when COVID-19 first became a prominent issue in the United States, the NBA configured ideas to continue having games. After a hiatus last season, the league would conduct a bubble in Orlando, Florida that allowed games to take place without fans in attendance.

But with the new season beginning in Dec. 2020 and COVID-19 still being a concern, the NBA is not allowing fans to attend games early in the season. Unless there's a drastic turn in events, it could be a while until the league permits fans—probably in a limited fashion—for games.

Seeing that the Warriors moved to the Chase Center at the beginning of last season, they haven't had much time to show it off to their fans. And with Golden State having a new-look team put together, Green and company would likely prefer to have fans to help them against visiting teams.

When Green speaks to the media, he isn't afraid to let everyone know how he feels about certain situations, even if it leads to him uttering expletives. Even though Green understands why fans aren't allowed to attend games, he still knows that fans are a pivotal part of the game.
