Stephen Curry has had some incredible duels against the Oklahoma City Thunder throughout his Golden State Warriors career.

The Warriors' two-time MVP has figured in some classic battles, both in the regular season and playoffs. Who could forget Andre Iguodala's baseline turnaround that sent Kevin Harlan in a frenzy back in 2013? Russell Westbrook answered that heartbreaker with one of his own just two weeks later, via his spinning overtime winner from the corner.

Then there was Curry's logo shot that ended one of the most memorable regular season games in NBA history during the 2015-16 season, the same year that the two teams had their epic Western Conference duel.

When Kevin Durant left to join the Warriors, the power balance may have shifted but it definitely added more fuel to a long-burning fire between the two sides.

Fast forward to 2021 and the Thunder are now a bottom-feeding team for the first time in Steph's 12-year Warriors career. But I guess nobody remembered to tell Curry that, because he brought his A-game every single night against them this season.

In Curry's first seven quarters against OKC this year, he's dropped a cool 100 points on them. He scored 42 points on them during their first encounter in just three quarters, sitting out the fourth with the Warriors comfortably ahead. That included an immaculate third quarter where he made all of his eight field goals, including six threes.

During their second matchup on Thursday night, he scored a much more modest 34 points again in just three quarters. The Warriors superstar was clearly ready to build on that “low-scoring” total by flaming the Thunder for another 24 points in the first quarter of their rematch on Saturday. For those of you who don't wanna do the math, here's The Athletic's Anthony Slater with the breakdown.

Curry would go on to score 25 more, ending the night with 49 points to stay the league leader in points per game over Bradley Beal. Sadly, he ended up sitting the fourth quarter with his team up big.

Stay spicy, Stephen Curry. The Warriors are going to need it for the play-in game.
