Golden State Warriors rookie Jordan Poole was the latest to draw a comparison between fellow rook Eric Paschall and Draymond Green. Talks first emerged when the Warriors selected Paschall in the second round, since picking up steam with several others drawing the similarities between them.

As for Poole, he thinks that Paschall — a four-year player at Villanova — has the same bulldozer mentality as the All-Star dynamo.

“This is where I think Eric's a little like Draymond,” Poole said during a Q&A session at the Warriors' Chase Center Block Party on Saturday, according to NBC Sports Bay Area's Ali Thanawalla. “Eric's a bully. So he always picks on me because I'm extremely young.”

The similarities don't stop with both players being strong bully-ball type of forwards and both being four-year players before declaring for the draft — a rarity these days — they also rebound at a high rate while being undersized, have their share of defensive intangibles and break down the game to make the best play available.

Poole has experienced that first-hand during his two years at Michigan.

“We've seen each other the last two years playing against each other, just the rivalry we had and the two amazing programs, it was kinda just basketball, basketball, basketball,” Poole said. “But spending the last three, four months with him, just to get to know who he is as a person, just to get drafted and to be able to play with a guy like Eric, I'm just extremely thankful.”

However, Paschall will have to experience a good mix of strong play and opportunity to make a stake for some prominent playing time in this new-look roster.
