Nearly one year ago, Kent Bazemore rejected a contract extension offer from the Golden State Warriors in order to join LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers. At that point in time, the veteran thought that he had a better chance of winning a title in LA than he did with Stephen Curry and Co. Boy was he wrong.
On Thursday, Bazemore sent a special shoutout to his former Warriors teammates after they booked their spot in the NBA Finals. At the same time, the 32-year-old could not help but get brutally honest about his regret:
“Congrats to my homies……. But I’m sick bruh 🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪” Bazemore wrote in his tweet.
Congrats to my homies…….
But I’m sick bruh 🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪

In case you were wondering, here is the receipt from Bazemore's decision to turn his back on the Warriors in favor of the Lakers. This was in August of last year:
Bazemore turned down more money and years (two) from the Warriors, sources say, but believes he will have a bigger role and opportunity to win a championship with the Lakers. Bazemore is betting on himself. https://t.co/rw1VyXMN9c

It wasn't exactly the best decision from Bazemore, who is now set to become a free agent after a forgettable season with the Lakers. It remains to be seen if LA will even offer him an extension.
Bazemore has been in the league for 10 years now and he's hoping to win a title before he calls it a career. He actually would have had a legitimate shot at achieving this objective if only he stayed with the Warriors. No wonder he's feeling a bit sick right now.
