Golden State Warriors center Zaza Pachulia once again received a lot of criticism on Saturday following their blowout victory against the Oklahoma City Thunder. During one sequence, Pachulia tried to go for the rebound after seeing Russell Westbrook missed a shot, but when he saw the latter on the floor, he appeared to intentionally fall on his leg.

Westbrook has since fired a shot directed at him by calling Pachulia a “dirty” player. Now, Kevin Durant has come to defend him, saying he is clumsy rather than the word used by his former teammate with the Thunder. He also added, via a video posted by Anthony Slater of The Athletic, that he watched the clip multiple times and saw Nick Young's foot being the cause for Pachulia to trip to the floor, and that he was not attempting to injure anyone of purpose.

Zaza Pachulia has already responded to Westbrook's claim, by also denying that he tried to injure him. He then said that he is already past it and does not want to further discuss or answer any questions regarding the controversial play. For what it's worth, the Thunder star guard was not hurt and was still stable to see more action on the night.

Westbrook also had another solid outing, finishing with a near triple-double of 15 points, 12 rebounds, and seven assists, but his efforts were not enough to avoid getting blown out by the Dubs, 112-80.

The debate on whether Pachulia tried to injure Kevin Durant's former teammate or not is expected to be much talked about in the coming days. It also makes their future meetings even more interesting, with The Brodie possibly more fired up to play better against the Warriors and send a strong message to Pachulia that he made the wrong decision to try and hurt him.

The Warriors and the Thunder have one more date left before the playoffs, and that would be on Apr. 3 at the Chesapeake Energy Arena. Oklahoma City owns the regular-season series advantage, 2-1.
