If NBA fans were already hyped for this star-studded matchup between the Golden State Warriors and Houston Rockets in the Western Conference Finals, they got plenty of excitement in just the first few minutes of the Dubs' 119-106 victory over the Rockets in Game 1 on Monday.

Warriors star forward Draymond Green got into it with Houston star guard James Harden early in the first quarter when Green shoved Harden after a shot.

Tensions were definitely high, which shouldn't come as too much of a surprise, especially to Warriors superstar forward Kevin Durant. When asked during his postgame press conference if Green's teammates need to help calm him down this series, Durant said that simply was not going to happen.

“I didn't even think twice about it. Draymond is not the guy that we got to calm down because he gets a tech. He knows exactly what he's doing out there, so that's something we're not even going to talk about. He knows what he's doing, we all trust him. We moved past that and he played extremely hard tonight,” Durant said, who had a team-high 37 points on 14-of-27 shooting from the field.

Green may have only had five points on just 1-of-5 shooting, but the 28-year-old star forward had a team-best plus/minus of plus-19 for Golden State and snagged nine rebounds, dished out nine assists, blocked two shots, and had two steals in 37 minutes of action on Monday night.

The Warriors will look to steal another contest in Houston on Wednesday night during Game 2 with hopes of taking a 2-0 series lead back to Oracle Arena.
