Golden State Warriors star Kevin Durant has continuously made headlines for constantly responding to people who criticize him on social media.

Unlike most NBA player though, KD has no problem with starting a beef with casual fans on Twitter and Instagram. Sometimes, he even claps back at those people who talk trash to him during games.

In a media scrum after the Warriors' practice on Friday, Durant was asked why he frequently responds to fans on social media. And KD simply responded the he has the right to do so because he is ‘qualified.'

“I'm qualified. Because I have social media. I'm a human being with a social media account,” Durant said, per Anthony Slater of The Athletic. “I could see if I ventured off into politics or culinary arts or music and gave my input. But I'm sticking to something that I know.”

For someone who is regarded as the best player in the league right now, Durant seems to be really affected by all the little things people say on social media.

KD recently had a Twitter feud with FOX Sports analysts Chris Broussard when the veteran journalist posted a question on Twitter, asking fans if his two championships will be diminished should the Warriors win the title this year without him.

Durant, however, makes a good point. Despite the fact that he's a professional basketball player and a world-renowned icon, he's still human and he can still interact with people on social media. No one's going to tell him what and what not to do.

That's been his mentality since joining the Warriors back in 2016, and that will likely never change.
