Kevin Durant took to Instagram to call out his former teammate, Zaza Pachulia, who sent a thoughtful happy birthday text to Durant on Friday. The only problem: Durant's birthday was three months ago.

Kevin Durant posted a hilarious screenshot of his exchange with Pachulia:

I'm not sure where Pachulia is getting his information from, but all he needed to do was check the Kevin Durant page on Basketball-Reference to see when his birthday is. That would have saved him the embarrassment of texting Durant by mistake.

Of course, Durant didn't really care and was just happy to talk to his old teammate. This leads me to think the mistaken text may have been some sort of conspiracy. Perhaps Pachulia missed Durant and sent the “mistake” on purpose just to start up a conversation with his old teammate.

That's something many of us have done to an ex at one point or another. Maybe we haven't all used the same scenario with a mistaken birthday, but many of us have done something similar to strike up a conversation with an old fling.

Pachulia is taking on a lesser role in Detroit, but he's adding some physicality off the bench for the 13-9 Pistons. Detroit is off to a strong start, but they aren't the Warriors. The Pistons don't have legitimate championship aspirations. There's a chance that Zaza is aching for the old days when he could watch Kevin Durant and Stephen Curry lead him to a championship.

Alright, maybe that's a tin-foil hat theory, but you never know.
