After scoring a game-high 46 points in the Golden State Warriors' Game 3 loss to the Houston Rockets in the Western Conference Semifinals on Saturday night, Kevin Durant has tied Michael Jordan for the most points in the first four road games of a single postseason:

Jordan had three games scoring at least 45 points in the 1990 playoffs, torching both the Milwaukee Bucks and Philadelphia 76ers. Interestingly enough, the Bulls went 2-2 in their first four road playoff games, with one of the wins coming when Jordan scored “just” 25 points.

Durant, meanwhile, has a 50-piece to his name after scoring at least 33 points in each of the Warriors' three road games against the Los Angeles Clippers in the first round (the 50-point game came in the series clincher in Game 6). The Warriors won their first three road contests before falling to the Rockets in overtime on Saturday night.

The 30-year-old superstar has been an enigma all season long. From an early-season scuffle with Draymond Green to a not-so-discreet beef with the media, Durant has tried to keep his focus on basketball as he has been bombarded by questions about his future.

And in a postseason where both Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson have struggled due to an assortment of injuries, Durant has proved why he may be the best player on the planet.

Kevin Durant has seemed to match Rockets superstar James Harden almost step-for-step in a fascinating battle for supremacy, and he will need to continue to match Harden's scoring output with the Rockets looking to even up the series on their home floor.
