The Golden State Warriors have been one of the best teams in the NBA so far in the 2021-22 season and that has been mostly without their second-best player, former NBA All-Star, Klay Thompson. As Thompson slowly regains his footing after two and a half years away from the court due to injuries, he is also slowly developing back into one of the game's best shooters and defenders. The shooting prowess was on full display on Tuesday night when he put up this shot at 1.3 seconds before the halftime buzzer.

Ā

Klay has played in five games for the Warriors since his return from injury on January ninth, with Thompson getting more than 20 minutes in only the last two of those games. Klay was originally limited to just 20 minutes per night and no back-to-back games, but that has now been upgraded to 25 minutes per night but still with no back-to-backs. Most likely, Thompson will not play games on consecutive days again until next season because the Warriors are basically locked into a top-three seed regardless of how much Thompson plays. The Warriors know that the playoffs are what is important to this team and do not need to risk Klay's health to get there.

In the playoffs, there are no back-to-back games and it will make it easier for Thompson to get into the flow of the offense.Ā Until then, just sit back, relax and enjoy ā€œlimited Klayā€ as he regains his aforementioned all-star form. Heck, even a limited Thompson is a lot better than most players in the NBA, so everyone is already spoiled.
