The Golden State Warriors beat the Los Angeles Lakers at home 115-101, but Laker fans who were in attendance at Oracle Arena can't help but cheer for Warriors guard Klay Thompson.

Fans who were rooting for the Lakers were caught chanting “We want Thompson” on multiple occasions during the game. Thompson was asked about it during his postgame interview, and this is what he said.

Thompson, who has been an important part of the Warriors' dynasty, is set to become a free agent this summer, and there are a lot of rumors that say he'll strongly consider signing with the Lakers.

The Lakers are in need of another star to pair with LeBron James as they try to bring back the winning culture in Los Angeles. They are already engaged in trade talks with the New Orleans Pelicans in hopes of acquiring Anthony Davis, and whether they land him or not, Thompson will be one of their primary targets this summer.

Thompson has remained loyal to the Warriors, saying he wants to play his entire career in Golden State. In reality, there's no reason for him to leave the Bay Area, as the Dubs are expected to be championship contenders for at least a few more years.

However, things could still change between now and this summer. Klay has already won three championships with the Dubs but never got the opportunity to be the leader of his own team.

Still, the best situation for Klay at the moment is with the Dubs.
