It's no secret that the Golden State Warriors are slumping with their recent four-game losing streak. Warriors All-Star shooting guard Klay Thompson explains why Golden State is struggling early this season.

Express' Daniel Blackham wrote about Klay's comments on their early struggles as the four-time All-Star infers that chemistry is becoming an issue for the 3-peat-aspiring Dubs.

“You never want to make excuses in this league,” he said.

“But we still have a bunch of new guys and young guys, and we're still getting acclimated with how to play with each other.

Despite this, Thompson says that the losing streak actually sheds light on what the team has accomplished in the past several years.

“But if you want to take a positive out of tonight, it's the first time we've ever lost four games in a row with Steve.

“So for his five years here, that's pretty amazing if you really think about it.”

The Warriors have lost six of their last eight games. With Stephen Curry still out for a couple of weeks and Patrick McCaw surprising everyone by not resigning with the team, the defending champs have fielded new faces this season.

Still, the Warriors' overall feel of the game is just different without Curry. The ball movement is not as fluid as usual, and the rate of forced shots has increased.

For his part, Thompson has taken it upon himself to carry a more offensive load. The sharpshooter is averaging a career-high in shot attempts, though Thompson hasn't been that efficient with his 32% clip from beyond the arc.
