Golden State Warriors star Klay Thompson could not help but get emotional on Wednesday as he discussed the two major injuries he's had to go through over the past couple of years. Just 24 hours away from Game 1's tip-off against the Boston Celtics, Thompson shared what type of impact his journey has had on him and how he now views the game.

Right now, the Warriors superstar is not taking anything for granted. According to Thompson, he's just happy and thankful to be where he is right now:

“I think I'm definitely more reflective now, just because it can be taken away from you like that, one misstep or one bad jump,” Thompson said, via Dime on Twitter. “… Now I just try to find joy in every routine I do.”

The Warriors are extremely grateful as well now that they have Klay back. It was a long and troublesome journey, no doubt, but in the end, it was all worth it.

Thompson will now hope to get a storybook ending to what has been a truly inspirational story. Many people doubted if he'd be able to come back as the player he once was, and right now, he has a chance to prove all of his doubters wrong by becoming a four-time NBA champion.
