Klay Thompson has officially announced his return to the Golden State Warriors on Instagram by going full Wolf of Wall Street.

Thompson is signing a five-year, $190 million contract to stay with the Warriors.

This was expected all along. There was no way the Warriors were going to lose Thompson, the first player owner Joe Lacob drafted when he bought the team.

This past season, Thompson averaged 21.5 points, 3.8 rebounds and 2.4 assists for the Warriors. The five-time All-Star shot 46.7 percent from the field, 40.2 percent from beyond the arc and 81.6 percent from the free-throw line. Klay will likely miss most of next season recovering from his torn left ACL.

In the 2019 playoffs, Thompson put up 20.7 points, 4.1 rebounds and 2.1 assists. The Warriors lost to the Toronto Raptors in the NBA Finals in six games. Both Thompson and Kevin Durant suffered serious injuries in the Finals.

Thompson hasn't had his surgery yet. Sometimes players wait for the swelling to go down before having ACL surgery. Golden State lost Durant to the Brooklyn Nets in free agency, but they were able to make a splash by acquiring D'Angelo Russell in a sign-and-trade with the Nets.

As long as the Warriors have Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green, they will always be a competitive team.
