During Saturday's All-Star Game media day, Golden State Warriors star Klay Thompson was asked about NBA legend Michael Jordan.

Thompson was asked to tell his favorite Jordan story. Would he mention one of his great scoring performances, or maybe a dramatic off-court incident?

No, Thompson had something else in mind.

Via Anthony Slater of The Athletic:

Jordan starred alongside the Looney Tunes in the 1996 classic. The film told the (fictional) story of what happened between Jordan's 1993 retirement from basketball and his 1995 comeback. Other NBA stars to appear in the movie included Larry Bird, Charles Barkley, Shawn Bradley, Patrick Ewing, Larry Johnson and Muggsy Bogues.

The movie was a hit at the box office, grossing over $230 million. It is still widely regarded as one of the best basketball movies of all time, and has become a cult classic.

It makes sense that Thompson would remember Jordan most fondly from Space Jam. Born in 1990, Thompson missed the peak of Jordan's career. But when Space Jam came out in 1996, Thompson was the perfect age to watch the movie and fall in love with the Bulls star.

This is Thompson's fifth consecutive All-Star Game. The 29-year-old has spent his entire career with the Warriors. This season, he is shooting 46.9% while averaging 21.9 points, 4.0 rebounds and 2.2 assists. For his career, the three-time NBA champion has averaged 19.5 points, 3.5 rebounds and 2.3 assists.

The Warriors hold the third best record in the NBA and lead the Western Conference at 41-16.
