Klay Thompson was due for another ghastly night on the road, scoring only 13 points through the first three-and-a-half quarters of the game, shooting 6-of-21 from the floor. Yet the Golden State Warriors marksman had no choice but to keep shooting, eventually finding his stroke late in the game and staying true to the famed MO — shooters shoot.

“Keep shooting. Never stop shooting. It’s that simple,” said Klay Thompson, according to Mark Medina of the San Jose Mercury News. “If I’m not out there shooting, what else am I doing? I might as well just keep playing.”

Thompson caught fire late in the fourth quarter and scored 11 points in the final 6:32 of the game, going a perfect 4-of-4 from the field, including three straight 3-point bombs, including this one from way deep to tie affairs and send the game to overtime.

The marksman would chip in another seven points in the overtime period, though not as open once Kevin Durant fouled of the game early in the extra period.

Klay Thompson played a key part in the Warriors' comeback after the L.A. Clippers managed to keep them at bay for most of the game. The team rode Kevin Durant's hot hand for most of the game and just when the flame went out after picking up his fifth personal foul, Klay Thompson came alight with a fourth-quarter surge to bring them back.

The sharpshooter's 31 points didn't come efficiently, teeing up 31 shot attempts to get there, but his willingness to keep shooting through a clear struggle will certainly boost his confidence in the future, knowing he can bust out of an in-game slump at a moment's notice.
