Stephen Curry put on a show for the Golden State Warriors on Sunday night, notching a career-high 62 points against the Portland Trail Blazers. Aside from surpassing his own personal best in points in a game, Curry eclipsed Klay Thompson's single-game record in points, which led Thompson to react in a hilarious fashion.

Back in the 2016-17 season, Klay Thompson compiled a remarkable 60 points for the Warriors in a game against the Indiana Pacers. What's even more impressive about Thompson's career-best performance was that he scored 60 points while only playing 29 minutes and taking 11 dribbles.

But on Sunday night, Stephen Curry proved doubters wrong by showing that he's still the most lethal shooter in the NBA. Curry would notch 62 points against Portland, passing his previous career-high of 54 points in a game, which came during the 2012-13 season against the New York Knicks.

After beating his record, Thompson used a meme from the movie “Happy Gilmore” to poke fun at Curry. However, it's easy to tell that Thompson was showing support in his teammate being able to have a stellar outing despite the pressure that is on Curry's shoulders.

In his latest showing versus the Trail Blazers, Curry was basically unguardable, making 18 of his 31 shot attempts. On top of that, Steph made a season-high eight 3-pointers on 16 attempts from outside the arc.

Following a loss to the Blazers on Friday night, Damian Lillard took a shot at Curry by saying that he no longer gets the open shots he once had. While Lillard was just attempting to make a point, Curry took it personally and surpassed Thompson and his own single-game scoring record.
