The Golden State Warriors are the class of the league. They made the last four NBA Finals, where they won three titles. There's no doubt that the NBA has a bonified dynasty on its hands.

But through all of their playoff success, the Warriors have struggled on one particular night—opening night.

This is more or less coincidental, but there's a solid chance this trend continues. The Warriors draw the Oklahoma City Thunder on opening night and it's safe to say that the Thunder are looking to make a statement.

Golden State always receives their opponent's best shot, but that's magnified even more when they play Oklahoma City. Although Durant's departure happened more than two years ago, there is still a rivalry between the two teams. The bad blood between Durant and Westbrook seems to be behind them, but that doesn't mean Russ doesn't want to pound the Warriors every time they share the court.

Paul George and Westbrook are looking to prove that last year's first-round exit was a fluke and they're ready to contend with the big boys this year. Opening night is the perfect time to make that statement.

Of course, the Warriors are the heavy favorites out West, but after that, there's a number of teams that can compete. The Thunder are right there. If they can pull off the opening night upset, perhaps the Warriors will continue the trend of losing to a team on opening night and going on to beat them in the Western Conference Finals.
