To say that Golden State Warriors guard Nick Young is overjoyed about his first ever NBA Championship would be an understatement. In true Swaggy P fashion, the 33-year-old has taken over the reigns of being the topless champion.

This prestigious title was owned by J.R. Smith until just a few hours ago when Young decided to take off his shirt upon deplaning the Warriors airbus.

Two years ago, when the Cleveland Cavaliers unceremoniously stole the championship away from the Warriors, Smith simply could not find his shirt in the days succeeding the victory. Some even questioned if Smith would ever find his shirt again after making several public appearances without it. Thankfully, the shooting guard eventually reunited with his upper garment.

Now is the topless era of Nick Young. After a colorful 11-year career that has not been short of controversy, the Los Angeles, California native has finally reached the pinnacle of the NBA by securing his first championship ring. Moreover, he has taken it upon himself to seize the topless champion title from Smith — likely without the latter's blessing.

This season, Young played a relatively minor role in the Warriors rotation. In 17.4 minutes off the bench, he averaged 7.3 points, 1.6 rebounds, and 1.5 connections from beyond the arc nightly during the regular season.

His numbers dipped during the Playoffs, as head coach Steve Kerr tightened up his rotation. Young only played 10.3 minutes per contest in the postseason with an output of 2.6 points, 0.6 rebounds, and 0.7 3-pointers per night.
