San Francisco, CA – The Golden State Warriors just completed a successful eight-game homestand. They finished 7-1 in those games to give them an overall record of 11-1. The most impressive thing about the start to this year's season is they won a few games with Stephen Curry struggling offensively.
Now right as the competition starts to get more challenging, it appears Curry is taking his MVP form. When asked if he felt he's beginning to find his rhythm, Curry replied.
“For sure, it follows the usual pattern of how I start seasons, and a lot of it too is just staying aggressive, locked in on how I’m trying to get off on most nights, working through our system in offense, and not really worrying about the output,” The Warriors star told ClutchPoints.
In the last three games at the Chase Center, Curry has scored 50, 25, and 40 points in convincing victories. In the three games before that, he had totals of 20, 19, and 15 points. All six games were double-digit wins.
The Warriors without Klay Thompson and James Wiseman are showing early they aren't going to be a team you look forward to playing. The number of wins they'll accumulate this year will make it impossible for MVP voters to overlook the supernatural play from Curry.
Over the years, Curry has shown he can be on these hot streaks for a very long time. If number 30 is genuinely finding his rhythm now, this could be the start of another historic scoring run. It could also be the beginning stages to him winning his third regular-season MVP award.
