Stephen Curry may be one of the best basketball players on earth and a cold-blooded assassin on the court, but he still gets nervous just like all of us. Curry participated in the Ellie Mae Classic golf tournament recently and admitted that he was feeling some jitters during his round.

According to NBA.com, Curry told reporters:

“I was still nervous, had the same jitters on the first tee [as a year ago]. This time it took me to hole eight or nine to get comfortable. You can't simulate that pressure standing over eight-, 10-foot putts. But once you get in a groove, great things happen.”

Even though Stephen Curry is a three-time NBA champion, he's still human. He's hit clutch shot after clutch shot on the basketball court, but sinking a 10-foot putt is a whole different ballgame.

Curry played well on the first day of the tournament, finishing with a 1-over 71. But the second day didn't go quite so well. The former MVP shot a 16-over 86 and missed the cut. Curry is an excellent golfer, but he didn't put his best foot forward in this one. Perhaps his nerves got the better of him, but lucky for him, golf isn't his first sport.

Curry did provide some excellent highlights while he was on the course. The fans even got to see a little shimmy from Steph.

Steph is no slouch on the links, but he'll be sticking to his day job moving forward. The All-Star point guard and the Golden State Warriors kick off the season on Oct. 16 against the Thunder.
